When the monkey strikes back

My fellow Americans …how in the world could you let this happen?
Don’t you see what he is doing to your country …and to the world?

…disappointed …frustrated …speechless

Update: yepp yepp yepp

I'm utterly sure that elections were manipulated (from one camp or another). Calling people, influence them, blast them with advertisement, hundred millions of dollars spent for THAT. And what did candidates promised as well to industry leaders for 'sponsoring' ? I prefer not to think about it...

What I'm disappointed in, is that Mr Bean managed in 4 years to make USA even more dangerous than it was before and make Americans an ideal target for the rest of the world.

No Mr Bean, I will NOT go to Disney Land as you suggested ! Culture is outside this country !
  • "Am I am the only one to see the danger..." it's funny that you are saying that. That's probably what the rest of the world thinks when hearing about the result of this election. This blog is no good forum for a political discussion. But whatever the result may be ...there is one thing for sure: The President is not America. And seeing so many people trying to change things is good! Some hope is left.

...but arguing with "character" and "intent" with your candidate of choice ...man, that's walking on thin ice. I can hear the cracks from thousands of miles away. Only wondering why you cannot hear them... btw: do you really think that last election Florida demonstrated what you called "the beautiful process that is the American system"? Only let me tell you: there are people that got a different impression...

A lot of people are already bashing America. And the sad thing is your candidate of choice gives them valid reasons. Not sure how much better the other option would have been ...but it's hard to get worse.

Because I like America I am disappointed.

We didn't win, therefore the voters must either be stupid or "they" must have rigged things.

In all my readings in the blogosphere, that's probably the most prevalent feeling. Am I the only one to see the danger and wrong-mindedness of that sentiment? It's natural and reasonable to be disappointed in an outcome different than one hoped for or expected (and perhaps that's all these statements really reflect), but let's not be so cynical about the beautiful process that is the American system of peaceful and orderly elections.

I have little doubt that people with whom I vociferously disagree seek to make America a better place. I have little doubt about their character. I have little doubt about their intent. Yet, at the end of the day, they voted for a different candidate than I did. Rather than write off the results because they are disagreeable, and rather than speak in terms of "us" and "them," let's seek ways to work with one another to make America better. *We* are all in this together, so *we* all need to make the best of it.
  • some of us tried.. notice how the population centers went blue and the middle of nowhere went red.. sad..

This is a massive example of how you can lead million of people to the chaos by letting them believe that they are at risk...disinformation at its best... Too many are fully convinced...

I also feel that so called elections were well...you know...hem...manipulated ?
