NAT a problem
Finally I found a conferencing software that works through a NAT firewall without special efforts. No special modules or anything! iView feels kind of slow but at least it’s working out-of-a-box.

Right before Vogel left to San Diego I gave him (and me) a webcam as a present. Looking forward to some video conferences :) Unfortunately even the latest drivers of the TerraCam prevented hibernation on my laptop. So I returned it today and got a Philips TouCam. *sigh* the driver installation was a pain too but in the end it seems to work (knock on wood).
Today I registered for the Cocoon GetTogether. I’m really looking forward seeing all those people again :) Can’t wait to do some Cocoon development again…

Today I had to say goodbye to one of my best friends. Vogel left Göttingen for some months of studying at the UC San Diego. Well, I know some birds are heading south over winter, but it’s the first time he does.
Although I feel a bit sad not having him around anymore I am sure he will have a lot of fun over there. …and finally it’s a good opportunity for me to travel to San Diego again :)
He now also has a weblog… hope he will use it :)
