		<description>A professional photographer whom I meet now and then at my local cafe has in the last two years made the switch to Nikon with no regrets, and for pretty much the same reasons as you - bang for buck.

Photographic technology is changing too quickly and the risk of ending up stuck with a white elephant is very real.</description>

I think it is understandable, but still very strange, that there are many people who defend their position not based on its relative merits, but based on their current investment.
