Embeddable Java compiler

A while ago Sylvain stumbled across Janino. Another java compiler that could be used for the jci (java compiler interface). Unfortunately it’s LGPL.

Update: hurray, just a few days ago they relicensed it under ASL!

iirc, some codehausers have been chatting with him about a license change to something friendlier. if you drop an encouraging line, it might help =)

Looks like licensing was already changed to be Apache style. At leasts that’s stated on the project’s page.

JANINO is distributed under the New BSD license since mid 2005, if anyone’s interested
